The Bogotá Public Space Biennial (BEP BOG) is a biennial competition organized by the Mayor's Office of Bogotá D.C., represented by the Administrative Department of the Public Space Ombudsman (DADEP) and its Bogotá Public Space Observatory, alongside the Colombian Society of Architects (SCA), Bogotá and Cundinamarca regional chapter. Its purpose is to recognize and promote projects and management strategies for the creation, recovery, and sustainability of public space in Bogotá.
Reflecting the current global urban context—where cities need high-quality public space for citizens to renew social connections more than ever—and in line with the academic goal of fostering a "culture of public space," the theme for this second edition is "Living Spaces, Meeting Places."
