Every two years, the Manuel de Solà-Morales European Prize recognizes the best doctoral research in the field of urbanism.
The prize honors the memory of professor and architect Manuel de Solà-Morales i Rubió (1939–2012), a master of urbanism—an intellectual and creative endeavor committed to improving cities through what he termed "an insistent search."
