Since 1978, the Colegio de Arquitectos del Ecuador Provincial de Pichincha (CAE-P) has organized the Pan-American Biennial of Architecture of Quito (BAQ) every November of even-numbered years. It is considered one of the most important architectural events in the Americas. This call for entries fosters exchange, integration, comparison, and analysis of architectural and urban production, as well as the transfer of criteria and contemporary thought.
This competition category aims to identify and promote the best architectural practices and projects built anywhere in the world that demonstrate a positive, tangible impact on improving the living conditions of low-income families and their immediate surroundings.
