The Colombian Society of Architects is launching the 2021 Award for Excellence in Sustainable Architecture – Vidrio Andino. This award was established to recognize Colombian projects that have excelled in the field of sustainable construction. The award seeks to promote sustainability in architecture by recognizing the collaborative efforts of designers, developers, and builders in creating projects that combine construction quality with architectural design, innovation, material selection, and positive environmental and social impact.
The Colombian Society of Architects (SCA) and the Colombia Green Building Council (CCCS) are joining forces through this award to promote and recognize projects across the country that stand out for their holistic vision of sustainability. Similarly, Vidrio Andino is contributing from the industrial sector to this inaugural edition, recognizing the importance of such initiatives.
“We must add value to the sector and generate benefits for the user in the pursuit of more habitable and environmentally friendly infrastructure,” states Alfredo Manuel Reyes, President of the SCA.
