International Ideas Competition: Mieres Bike Lane

The Mieres Polytechnic School at the University of Oviedo, through its Transport Engineering Department, is launching an international ideas competition for university students to solicit proposals for resolving urban and territorial challenges associated with the evolution of transport networks.

This competition, which addresses the new mobility challenges emerging in historic urban centers, invites imaginative solutions to redefine the main road axis of Mieres. The goal is to integrate a bike lane by reorganizing existing transport networks and redefining urban space.

The competition is organized by the University of Oviedo, with the collaboration of the Mieres City Council, the Association of Civil Engineers (Asturias branch), the construction company Boprisa, and the consultancy firm Vectio Traffic and Transport Planning.
