Participatory Mural Competition in Lima

As part of the implementation of a renovated public space in Villa El Salvador, Lima, a public call has been issued for artists, muralists, and the general public to participate, submit their designs, and apply to the Participatory Mural Competition. The winning design will be installed in the Edilberto Ramos area (VES).

This project is promoted by Fundación AVINA, UN-Habitat, Periferia, Lima Cómo Vamos, and its Ocupa Tu Calle strategy. The Periferia team was responsible for designing the park through a participatory process as part of the BlockByBlock project—a methodology promoted by UN-Habitat, the United Nations human settlements program, which uses the game Minecraft as a design tool.
