The Mieres Polytechnic School of the University of Oviedo, through its Transport Engineering Department, is launching an international ideas competition for university students to solicit proposals for resolving an urban and territorial issue associated with the evolution of transport networks.
This ideas competition, focused on the remodeling of the banks of the Caudal River as it flows through the urban center of Mieres, invites imaginative solutions to redefine the boundary between two areas currently separated by various transport infrastructures: the Caudal River and the urban core of Mieres. Proposals should address this through the reorganization of existing transport networks and the redefinition of urban space.
