In the context of architecture and urbanism, design competitions are academic and/or professional contests that involve developing an architectural proposal based on specific requirements defined by organizers in a brief, which is carefully planned and prepared for each theme.
MODO organizes competitions for university students and recent graduates from any Brazilian or international institution. What is the theme of this competition?
This is the platform's pilot competition, focusing on the design of a "Humanitarian Pavilion." The pavilion is intended to serve as support infrastructure for the "Better Shelter" units of the Rondon 1 project in Boa Vista, Roraima. The "Better Shelter" units are emergency structures accommodating up to six people, installed by the Federal government and United Nations agencies. The facility houses 600 people and includes complementary installations providing physical infrastructure, food, transportation, medical care, and security, supported by the Armed Forces.
