From Territory to Detail: A Kind of Architecture

The "From Territory to Detail" Seminar is a forum for reflection on various aspects of contemporary Latin American architecture. Held at the University of Talca’s School of Architecture (Chile) for the past fifteen years, the unassuming nature of the city seems to have permeated an event that has quietly positioned itself among other forums that, from the north, attempt to engage with the architecture currently being developed in Latin America. While activities such as Latitudes: Architecture of the Americas (USA) or the Ibero-American Architecture and Urbanism Biennial (Spain) look toward South America from their northern vantage points, the "From Territory to Detail" Seminar invites us to view this architecture from a southern perspective.
