Beatriz Colomina is the director and founder of the interdisciplinary Media and Modernity program at Princeton University in the United States, where she also serves as a professor and director of Graduate Studies at the School of Architecture.
Her books include Are We Human? Notes on an Archaeology of Design, The Century of the Bed, Clip/Stamp/Fold: The Radical Architecture of Little Magazines 196X-197X, Privacy and Publicity: Modern Architecture as Mass Media, and Sexuality and Space, among many others. She has lectured at universities and art museums around the world and curated a series of international exhibitions based on oral history archival research. Colomina has received numerous awards and fellowships, including those from the SOM Foundation, the Fondation Le Corbusier, the Graham Foundation, the CCA, the American Academy in Berlin, and the Getty Center in Los Angeles.
