Ediciones Asimétricas, in collaboration with the Fernando Higueras Foundation, the ICO Foundation, the ICO Museum, and the Ministry of Public Works, has published the 2nd edition of the catalog Fernando Higueras. Desde el origen.
This book exhaustively compiles the most iconic works created by Fernando Higueras, spanning from his earliest drawings in 1950 to his passing in 2008. Profusely illustrated and rigorously documented, it is the most comprehensive monograph dedicated to the architect. It is organized as a chronological and highly visual journey through the entire body of work of Fernando Higueras, featuring original period models, photographs, plans, and more, through which the architect speaks about his buildings and his conception of architecture. It also includes numerous critical texts on the work and the singular figure of Higueras.
Published in both Spanish and English, the catalog features texts by curator Lola Botia, Álvaro Martínez-Novillo, Andrés Perea, Óscar Tusquets, Darío Gazapo and Concha Lapayese, Antonio Miró, Iñaki Ábalos, Juli Capella, Josemaría de Churtichaga, Salvador Pérez Arroyo, Félix Candela, Javier Manterola Armisén, Alberto Humanes Bustamante, and an extensive essay by María Isabel Navarro Segura.
