This 12th volume of Prospectiva delves into the complexity and richness of contemporary architecture in Colombia. This territory is traversed by geographical, social and political tensions, demanding precise and imaginative architectural responses.
The twenty projects selected by Xavier González and Camilo Restrepo demonstrate an approach to architecture that is deeply rooted in the local context and climate. This approach is characterised by a pragmatic adaptability, or 'bricolage', which incorporates influences and available resources, as well as social and environmental awareness. The projects also demonstrate a constant search for spatial generosity and porosity, where the boundaries between interior and exterior are blurred.
