2023 AIA Japan Design Awards

The mission of the AIA Japan Design Awards Program is to encourage excellence in architectural design and planning, and to provide an avenue through which architects may gain recognition by their peers and the public. The ultimate goal is to raise the standards of architectural design excellence for both the architectural community and the public.

EVALUATION

1️⃣ Design Quality: Reflecting resolution of the program or idea; innovation, thoughtfulness, and technique.

2️⃣ Design Resolution: Formal, functional, technical parameters, and difficulties – show us how you conquered them!

3️⃣ Design Advancement: Propose new approaches to the development of architectural and/or urban form.

4️⃣ Social Advancement: Demonstrate a commitment to social progress and how your design enhances lives.

5️⃣ Technical Advancement: Explore new technologies and their architectural applications.

6️⃣ Environmental Advancement: Show your dedication to environmentally sensitive design, sustainability, and energy/resources conservation.
