Estudio Ramos at Venice Biennale & Honest Modernism Book Launch Event

Estudio Ramos presented its work in the 2023’s edition of Time Space Existence, the extensive architecture biennale exhibition organized by the European Cultural Centre (ECC) in Venice, Italy. This year’s show, which opened in May and will run until the end of November, focuses on sustainability and promotes an exploration of the challenges presented by current environmental issues.

Based in Buenos Aires and New York, Estudio Ramos has a distinctive style that relies on a well defined vision of modernism. Throughout 40 years, the firm has developed its work with a deep respect for architecture ́s principles. Their fundamental philosophy is to understand and interpret each project’s context, pursuing its ideal scale and sustainability. The intention is to encourage reflection through a simple, pure and honest architectural language.

The exhibition within ECC displays the book Honest Modernism, a compilation of the firm’s most representative designs, and a carefuly edited film immersing the viewer into the core features of their work.

The book launch during the opening week of the biennale featured a reflective conversation between father and son, Juan Ignacio Ramos and Ignacio Ramos, partners at Estudio Ramos.
