ProtoLAB is a design and build workshop where students of architecture and related fields have a unique opportunity to design and then build architectural structures. The workshop is divided into an online design and onsite manufacturing process, which will take place in the beautiful city of Wrocław, Poland.
The online design workshop will take place between July 7 and 14, 2023. Participants will work in international groups on one of the given design tasks. The design part will be complemented by lectures on design and production methods, material characteristics, sustainable design and much more.
The production phase will take place between July 22 and 30, 2023, in old tram depot transferred into students’ activity spot Czasoprzestrzeń (eng. Timespace).
Participants will learn how to effectively and safely use professional construction tools and build structures designed during the first part of the workshop. The design and construction workshop will be led by an international team of distinguished experts in design and construction technology.

The building workshops costs include lunches, building materials, tutoring and supervision of professional instructors in design and production technologies, equipment of professional building tools and insurance.
We can also arrange for you an accommodation in students’ dormitory in close neighbourhood of production hall.
