The ICONIC AWARDS 2018: Innovative Architecture honor superb examples of the interaction of all disciplines in an independent architecture and design competition which focuses on internationally outstanding construction projects, innovative interior and product design as well as compelling communication in an architectural context.

The competition invites conceptual design proposal for a class-A, high-end office building which incorporates innovative ideas, advanced technology, reasonably practical functions, thus constructing an iconic building in Qianjiang New City of Hangzhou, China.

The MAS in Collective Housing is celebrating its 10th anniversary and we want to share our happiness for that achievement. After having here 256 alumni from 38 different countries, and 70 international workshops, we are convinced that we are doing right. The application period for the 2019 edition is already opened.

The brief is simple: show us your use of 3D printing in your architecture project. Whether it's a wild mockup of a future tech hub made of plastic or a treehouse prototyped in metal, we want to see how you're using 3D printing to help communicate your ideas. The awardee will receive $1000, with 10 runners up receiving a copy of The 3D Printing Handbook.

From June 4–15, 2018, the Department of Design Research, Writing and Criticism at the School of Visual Arts will host its annual two-week intensive dedicated to researching and writing about design.
