More about this product

Lapitec is an Italian company committed to integrating luxury and sustainability into its products since 1989. Lapitec sintered stone in Nero Assoluto was used to clad the bathrooms, a free-standing block, and the indoor swimming pool of the Diamond Tree Villa located in Veneto, Italy.

The villa interiors continuously communicate with natural elements, like a tree incorporated into the villa. In terms of composition, the shape of the villa is based on the concept of a parallelepiped, modeled in two irregular prisms using partitions, rotations, subtractions, and additions; architectural solutions aimed at creating a fluid space with no corridors to join the various zones. The design generates strong volumes that appear to be monolithic, and that benefit from sintered stone cladding from Lapitec.

Lapitec 'full-bodied' sintered stone was used to clad wet surfaces in the interiors such as bathrooms, the indoor swimming pool, and a free-standing block. This sculptural element is adorned with a water-jet engraved poem by artist Giorgio Milani. Entirely covered in sintered stone, the 3.5-meter-high block emerges from the swimming pool with an imposing presence, and a gentle waterfall magnifies its effect. The application of Nero Assoluto in a Vesuvio finish gives the rooms and surfaces in the Villa a stern yet elegant material look due to its similarity to granite. The slabs are stain and water-resistant, making them an optimal choice for moisture-filled rooms such as the spa area and bathrooms. Nero Assoluto is available in 4 different surface finishes: Lux, Velluto, Lithos, and Vesuvio‎. All finishes result from mechanical processing, without using printing or synthetic materials.
