Carminati Serramenti manufactures wooden frames, wood aluminum, and wood glass. Lift & slide frameless wooden windows from Carminati Serramenti were used in a private floating villa in London, England.

The Floating Villa blends the security and comfort of a private residence with the need for movement and the liberating sensation only a boat can offer. A sequence of wooden slats covers the exterior facades, serving not only as a decorative element but also as an effective light protection system that ensures privacy. Inside, the first floor features a spacious open area housing the entrance hall, kitchen, and living room, while the lower floor encompasses a sleeping area with corresponding bathrooms.

The living room's design, characterized by its elegant simplicity, exudes an atmosphere of comfort and sociability. A monolithic white marble kitchen island with a long rectangular wooden table directs attention toward the living room and the central sliding panoramic window.

The upper floor's openness and expansiveness contrast with the private and intimate nature of the rooms. The colors and materials (white, blue, black, and wood) serve as the consistent theme of the project, while the use of spotlights and a metal plate on the ceiling transforms the rigidity of the distribution corridor‘s forms. The latter exhibits "liquid" reflections, evoking the impression of water traces left by a boat navigating along a river.

For the living room, Carminati Serramenti provided Skyline Sliding panoramic windows made of fir wood with a natural light finish. This window, consisting of a minimal frame with a fixed all-glass sash, allows the maximum contribution of light. The golden color of the fir matches the other wooden furnishing accessories. In addition, small porthole windows have been replaced by Skyline System, created to give some special design and refinement to the rooms.
