Wooden Profile System in Co-Working Space | Klein

The One Place BCN co-working space offers healthy and harmonious spaces that use the NATURE wooden profile system from KLEIN^®. Designed by architect Nereida de la Mataintegrated, the space was developed with sustainability in mind, and a desire to create transformable spaces that adapt to people's needs.

Project Details

The space is located in what was an old warehouse, situated in the Sants neighborhood of Barcelona, and is designed specifically as a coworking space for architects. With the environmental focus, materials were carefully selected, with wood acting as the protagonist of the space. The minimalist Nordic design includes birch wood for furnishings and laminated oak flooring. It is with these factors in mind that KLEIN's oak wood sliding system, NATURE was selected as a partition solution.

The partition acts as a key element that separates the office area from the kitchen area. The product is perfectly matched to the philosophy of the project as it is an eco-friendly, natural profile system. The materiality also adds warmth while maintaining transparency and spaciousness with the glass partitions.

The wooden profile sections are meticulously detailed to conceal the irregularities of the space such as the fact that the walls aren't perfectly straight and that the flooring isn't completely level. NATURE incorporates the KSC Soft Closing braking system, which guarantees a dampened closing with zero bounce back which prevents noises and loud bangs.

Nature from KLEIN proposes a healthier and more sustainable solution to spaces as its first fully standardized wooden system while providing the same ease of installation and functionality of the metal systems.
