This Open Call of ideas invites architectural ideas/visions/concepts/solutions/proposals at any scale, that respond to any topical issues plaguing Nigeria's development. These include but are not limited to : COVID-19, Insecurity, Restructuring, Power Supply, Traffic, Flooding etc.
Successful entries will be published in the forthcoming 1-page, fast read, online publication titled: 'Architects Say _______________".
According to the Chairperson of ACAN’s Publications Committee, Mrs. Patience Okonta, FNIA “for long, architectural practice in Nigeria has been insular, it is high time our voices were heard in the scheme of affairs in the nation, hence the timeliness of this call.”
This Open call for this first edition will run from 6th July - 15th August 2021. Interested respondents are to send an email to info@acanigeria.com with the
Title: ‘Open Call’ and;
Body containing:
- 1 representative image of their idea/concept/vision/solution/proposal,
- a 150-word synopsis of the idea,
- name/s of respondents,
- phone number
Note:
All images should be optimized within 1920 x 1080 pixels and not more than 5Mb size.
The deadline for submissions is 11.59 pm WAT on 15th August 2021. The call is open to architects/designers/students and they need not be members of ACAN. Teams of not more than 4 are also allowed.
