This international one-stage architecture ideas competition invites all architects, landscape architects and designers, students and professionals with a degree in architecture, landscape architecture and design studies to develop and submit great ideas for the design of a residential complex (Guest Houses) located at the Calivigny Garden, St. George, Grenada. West Indies. It is essential that each design proposal emphasizes and celebrates the site and surrounded area close to the Calivigny Harbor at the South of the site, being a harbor surrounded by mangroves.
The Calivigny Garden Guest Houses offers a unique experience for residential design dedicated to visitants for short-term and long-term periods, in the middle of the Caribbean Region, being Grenada one of the most safety country in the region. The site, marked as Lot 11, have partial view to the Calivigny Harbor Bay, a great water mass to be used as part of the landscape of the design.
Eligibility
Any architecture student or professional architect can participate in CALIVIGNY
GARDEN GUEST HOUSES COMPETITION, regardless of their nationality. Likewise,
people from other disciplines can also participate, such as engineers, philosophers, sociologists, photographers, etc. It is not necessary to have an architect on the team, although it is recommended.
Teams may be formed by a maximum of four (4) members and a minimum of one (1). All team members must be 18 years of age or older.
The registration fee must be paid per team, regardless of the number of members (1- 4 people).
In the event that a team or participant wants to participate with more than one proposal, it will be necessary to register twice (or as many times as proposals will be submitted), paying the full price corresponding to each registration.
Under no circumstances may jurors, the organization or persons directly related to the jury participate in this competition.
