The client is an entrepreneur in the agricultural production business (chickens(eggs), pigs rearing). His wife is a design student at the art college and she is fully interested in furniture design. A three member family house.

The house was built on the Minija valley slope. The house should be an image of a fire place made from huge logs or like the Noah‘s ship where the family with all their belongings and animals moved from the city.

It would have been more perfect if those car parking spaces were not planned under the cantilevering volume.
Perhaps a swimming area instead? Or at least some landscaping to compliment the structure. It’s way too barren to evoke a reaction.
climate here is not very favourable for outdoor swimming pools
parking there needs lots of courage!!
5sRZrf That’s way more clever than I was expecting. Thanks!
what’s the point of such a oversized cantilever? just “because you can”? it’s very unsettling…
Just a show off.
master bedroom at the end of the cantilever?
when the house is rock’n don’t come a nock’n
But it is a smart cantilever. It is formal expression of getting privacy for bedrooms in otherwise one storey house.
And it has additional use as a car park! I find it well balanced.
that’s true.. but i would feel better if there were a few columns underneath :)
Динамично, функционально и эстетично. Прекрасно сопрягаются объемы в пространстве и в геометрии планов.
would you please explain for me about the structure stability and how is stand above the ground
thanking you
(Azadeh)
I think, trick is visible in the section, L form concrete wall on which second floor is hanging (http://www.jaycashman.com/images/portfolio/fuller_warren_bridge.jpg you can se something similar under that bridge, just it is cantelivered to both sides). thats my gues. very simple, but i like it.
I would also like to know
Would you please explain to me why anyone would want to go to the bathroom that has a glass door on it?
Good job , i like it , but i would ev like it more if the elevation was reflected on the section and the spaces inside this cantilever was stepping up as will …… !
What is the reason for discussing about cantilever? This house built for client, client likes it… I alsow just like suspended solutions… It is private intimate think.
I’d love to see the view from the bedroom…
Would not want to life there.
Seems very cold and not very homy.
Design is mwoah.
And if one day the cantilever fails.. you lose your house and your car…
Sooooooo amazing post, i love some words so much and can i quote a few of them on my weblog? Also i have e-mailed you relating to can it be feasible for us to exchange our links, hope talking with you soon.
