Szymon Szczesniak house / Moomoo

By Nico Saieh — Filed under: Houses , Selected , ,

This house features a dynamic skin,  a curtain that covers the long side of the elevation. The intermediate space changes during the day due to the winds of the area.

Architects: Moomoo – Jakub Majewski, Lukasz Pastuszka
Location: Wilga, Poland
Collaborator: Tomasz Bierzanowski
Project year: 2008
Constructed Area: 130 sqm

House for a photographer, Szymon Szczesniak. A textile elevation of the house reacts for any tiny wind move, it creates an unusual space for resting, relaxing and finding inspiration.

I hope Sczesniak didn’t pay much for something you can get by drying laundry out in a yard.

yeah that idea seems like a cheap facade that could be so much more

really fall in love with the simplicity of it… i know it is a little idealistic but living in savannah, GA right now (orig from halifax, NS) i can actaully see how wonderful this could be right now!!!!

Im interested on what kind of fabric was used for the curtain, and how does it react to the weather…. think its crucial when doing such a design for a building facade…

Hola, buen diseño, lo voy a emplear para mi lote en chapala, jalisco, mexico. Utilizando el menor espacio para no alterar el paisaje.
