REGULATION

The contest is looking for urban strategies and creative approaches on the public space and intends to explore the role of different artistic fields as a form of mobilizing and stimulating contemporary towns. The contest is directed to teams or individuals from different creative fields, who are expected to create ephemeral concepts and structures to encourage the appropriation of public spaces in the historical center of the town of Abrantes, Portugal, by the local community. Open Call for Urban Interventions Projects | 180 Creative Camp focuses on architectural and artistic practices that expose ideas through installations, actions, happenings and temporary urban interventions, referring to the role of the local community’s consciousness and to the use of social critique in the reinvention of the public space.
