Text description provided by the architects. In the south and west the building is surrounded by meadows and ponds. The Andechs ridge and the Alps form the horizon. The areas in the north are commercial and residential. The exterior walls of the Atelier building grow up from the asphalt surface of the former parking lots. This suggests the concave configuration of the base in the same texture as the surrounding road surfaces. It creates a transition between parking surface and the well-dressed white wall.
