The new building completes a city block in the centre of Vevey. The urban void be- hind the buildings was a residual space used as a parking lot and for utility purposes. The intervention took advantage of the void and turned it into a main hall for all the buildings of the block.

The once neglected space became a common area with a big patio and a green roof, offering a garden view for all the buildings around it. The new five floors office building frames the roof garden without enclosing it and maintains a wide visual panorama on the city and the mountains.

That’s the worst looking shoebox I’ve seen in a while. Judging by the aesthetic the architects should change their name to be called ‘engineers’!
You clearly have no idea of what you are talking about!
what were they trying to achieve? it just looks desolate to me.
interesting what you can do with a box…there is some thought that has gone into creating this rather formal feel of the whole place..may feel kinda rigid but has its own interesting play of light and void in there.
Beautiful transparant office, even the ceiling on the ground floor is semi-transparant. Nice and serene work environment. The details are excellent.
amazing simplicity, well done
typical of Swiss building…
