Saint-Gobain Transparence is India's Biggest Design Competition for students of architecture and design. For the past 18 years, Saint-Gobain in association with Ethos has been striving to provide a platform for aspiring designers to showcase their ingenuity on topics in design relevant to our times as well as apt for the future. Participate in Saint-Gobain Transparence 18.0 Architecture Category this year and win a chance to represent your country in the Global Architecture Student Contest in Finland, Europe.
The theme chosen for this year is ‘The Art and Science of Building Responsibly’. It involves consciously designing spaces and structures within Public/Civic Buildings, Multi-unit Housing and Institutional Buildings - that respond to the climate and context, consider the needs of the community, and improve the quality of life of its users.
Site and Context :
Participants should choose their sites as a response to the program among the typologies listed , i.e. intervene with a design where it is needed.
- Select a site within an urban context.
- The site area should be above 2 acres.
- We encourage you to focus on lean and light construction practices, the use of low-impact, conscious, recyclable, and sustainable materials, and design choices.
Eligibility:
Current B. Arch students from any year can participate.
Recent graduates from 2023 are also eligible to participate.
Teams :
You can participate individually or in a team of a maximum of three members. You are allowed to make teams with students from different batches or even different colleges.
Awards :
National Winner: ₹ 75000/- per team, a trophy, and a certificate.
National First-Runner-Up: ₹ 50000/- per team, a trophy, and a certificate.
National Second-Runner-Up: ₹ 25000/- per team, a trophy, and a certificate.
