BIG Wins Competition to Design Qianhai Prisma Towers in Shenzhen

BIG has won a proposal to design a 300 m tall residential tower and a 250 m tall office tower for the Guiwan district, located in the metropolitan city of Qianhai, what is most commonly known as the international finance city of China. Part of the new development plan for Qianhai Bay, the Prisma Towers aim to transform the greater bay area. The project will include workspaces, residences, and 20,000m2 of leveled public spaces.

Gerkan, Marg and Partners (GMP) has won an international competition for the design of a new tower complex in Shenzhen’s “Super Bay City” business district. Consisting of three distinct blocks linked at the base, the primary tower of the Hengli International Building rises 250 meters to become an impressive landmark and a cultural destination for the new business district.

Various Associates were approached by Wann to design their first gallery lounge of Shenzhen. Located in No.1 Shenzhen bay－the most potential area in China, the scheme comprises of the lounge area with meal, bar, and art gallery. Collaborating with local vendors and manufacturers, spatial-making was a central theme in ensuring that the final space was searching, the wonderland for the 'alcohol lover'.

Foster + Partners Unveil Plans for Soaring Shenzhen Towers

Foster + Partners has released details of their proposed China Merchants Bank HQ in Shenzhen. The soaring 350-meter tower, intended to house the bank’s 13,000-strong workforce, will be complemented by a sister tower 180 meters in height, containing a luxury hotel and mixed-use office, cultural, and retail spaces.
