The winners of the 2016 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards have been announced. Now in its eighth year, the global competition seeks the best of food and beverage spaces, and “covers every imaginable space, from ships to airports, museums to burger vans, and from revered Michelin-starred establishments to the fleeting dynamism of pop-ups.”

The winners of the seventh annual Restaurant & Bar Design Awards—the only awards in the world dedicated to the design of food and beverage spaces—have been announced in London. Out of over 860 entries from the United Kingdom and 70 other countries, 36 designs were awarded, with two grand prize winners.

Thomas Heatherwick, Alberto Alessi and a number of other famed jury members have shortlisted 214 projects from 70 countries for the 2015 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards. Now in its seventh year, the awards are the only of its kind dedicated to the design of food and beverage spaces. The winners will be announced in October.
