Even if the house externally looks like a box with simple and regular lines, inside the situation is simply the opposite: the main shape used is the circle, in fact we could find it in the spiral staircase, in U-light suspended lamps and in the circular skylights.

Located in a quiet small neighborhood at the center of Gush Dan, the modest façade of the house conceals a whole world behind it. The house's architectural language was dictated by committing to architecture that's closely linked to the surroundings – the location, its history, and the neighborhood's residents. The small plot obligated the design of a 3-story townhouse, divided into gradually revealing spaces, while others are visible at first sight. The house is comprised of a sequence of spaces that provide a revelation experience and are suitable to the family's lifestyle. The space is split into various zones – pleasant seating areas, sleeping, gatherings, etc.

The composition techniques used in this house, built in the ’70s, were to bring back and shape new perspective views, which were hidden in the previous project. This was done to create a new atmosphere of immersion and connection with the surrounding nature. The void as the measure of the different parts has been shaped following the various depths of the interior environment and at the same time, showing the visual distances between inside and outside.

Through the gate entrance, a game of colorful architecture is played out between the blocks of the building, with a gray foreground and white background. The division of masses is decorative as well as functional, including a seam-like staircase used to bring in natural light. The constructive pillars represent another architectural game, whose role is dual in both structural engineering and decoration - exposing the interior and exterior and form the basis of architectural and decorative language.

It houses a young family with three children and includes the owner's clinic. It sits on the land in an L-shape and speaks in a language of layers. Upon meeting with new clients, we first talk with them to get to know them, understand their needs, desires and general thoughts about life. One of the first requests of the owner, a sex therapist, and anthropologist was that she doesn't want anything to be white, as this reminded her of a clinic she used to work in. Throughout the process, we had many random conversations with her about relationships, which led us to the musical "Chicago". This ended up being a major inspiration for us.

The project sits in a quiet residential neighborhood northeast of Tel Aviv. It is a single-family house that shares a party wall with its neighbor. The brief was to design a single family dwelling for a young family with four children. The client requested a house with a small footprint, that would create a large garden for the kids to play. The site is elongated and has a relatively steep topographic change between its front and backyard. Therefore we faced a challenge in fitting all of the necessary programs whilst maintaining a pleasant footprint. In order to break the mass of the house and provide a more gentle footprint, we proposed to divide the house into a series of cubes with a courtyard separating them. This would allow light to enter into more spaces within the home and would break the mass of the facade.

The Villas in the Air mark a departure from repetitive, typical floors, and replace them with a variety of types of floors on top of each other, creating large rooftop terraces along the entire height of the building.
