Upon completion, the building will span 90,000 square feet over seven stories at the corner of College Point Boulevard and 39<sup>th</sup> Avenue. </p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.leong-leong.com/index.php?utm_medium=website&amp;utm_source=archdaily.com" target="_blank">Leong Leong</a> has been chosen <a href="http://www.archdaily.com/552281/five-practices-compete-to-design-los-angeles-lgbt-center" target="_blank">over four others</a> to masterplan and design the <a href="http://www.archdaily.com/tag/los-angeles" target="_blank">Los Angeles</a> LGBT Center's new mixed-use site in <a href="http://www.archdaily.com/tag/hollywood" target="_blank">Hollywood</a>, <a href="http://www.archdaily.com/tag/california" target="_blank">California</a>. The Los Angeles-based practice will design a new 183,700-square-foot building that, together with the Center's existing facility across the street, will form a block-wide campus that will include a unique mix of 140 affordable housing units, 100 beds for homeless youth, a new senior center and a center for homeless youth, as well as a new administrative headquarters and cultural arts center. </p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p class="p1"><strong><a href="http://www.archdaily.com/tag/michael-maltzan-architecture/">Michael Maltzan</a></strong>, <strong>Frederick Fisher</strong>, <strong><a href="http://www.archdaily.com/tag/predock-frane-architects/">Predock Frane</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://www.archdaily.com/tag/mad-architects/">MAD</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.archdaily.com/tag/leong-leong-architecture/">Leong Leong</a></strong> have been shortlisted in a limited competition to design a new <a href="https://www.archdaily.com/tag/los-angeles">Los Angeles</a> LGBT Center (formerly called LA Gay and Lesbian Center). Each have received a stipend of $20,000 to develop proposals for the new campus, which will include arts, educational and affordable housing programs on more than an entire city block in Hollywood. Once complete, the center hopes to serve LGBT community members of all ages by providing access to multigenerational affordable housing, healthcare, senior care and family services.
