With almost an almost exclusively positive public response (the majority of Olympic bids are met with <a href="https://www.economist.com/the-economist-explains/2013/09/08/why-would-anyone-want-to-host-the-olympics?utm_medium=website&amp;utm_source=archdaily.com" target="_blank">70% approval</a> or higher), the Games become an opportunity for a nation to showcases their culture and all it has to offer.
