Located in <a href="https://www.archdaily.com/tag/bentonville">Bentonville</a>, Arkansas, on a 30-acre site, the campus explores the relationship between architecture, landscape, and community within the educational context. The announcement was made after a daylong celebration at S.R. Crown Hall on the<a href="https://www.archdaily.com/tag/illinois-institute-of-technology"> Illinois Institute of Technology</a> (IIT) campus. The event featured Masterclass presentations by students from IIT and regional universities, along with a roundtable discussion with the finalists and jury during the <a href="https://www.archdaily.com/tag/mies-crown-hall-americas-prize">MCHAP</a> Symposium.</p>]]>

This is the 13th edition of the program, which was established to recognize firms for their excellence in small-project design. This year the winners have been placed into two categories: Category 1, which awards “a small project construction, object, work of environmental art or architectural design element up to $150,000 in construction cost,” and Category 2, given to “A small project construction, up to $1,500,000 in construction cost.”</p>]]>

As trends in religious practices and the buildings that house them have changed, this year’s awards celebrate a wide variety of structures, including a growing number of renovation and restoration projects, as well as the first-ever award for a building in the “megachurch” category. From a total of 44 entries, 16 projects received awards in one of five categories: New Facilities, Renovation, Restoration, Adaptive Reuse/Repurpose, and Liturgical/Interior Design.</p>]]>
