The work of Japanese artist Tasuya Tanaka is a miniature universe, where every detail comes to life. His tiny sculptures stand out under the domes arranged on two curved counters that capture the gaze and allow visitors to circulate each piece. The pieces rest on rotating bases, keeping them in continuous motion. Static points of illumination create a constant transformation in the shadows of the sculptures, suggesting to the visitor a pause to contemplate the complete three-dimensionality of each work from different perspectives.

“Renovation is about bringing a new meaning for your home” We had performed a full renovation on this apartment located on the Brasil Tower in Sao Paulo – Brazil back in 2015. In 2020, the owner decided to acquire the unit next door and invited our office to work on this new challenge: unify harmoniously the first renovation made with the new acquired unit. The wall between the units was demolished creating an ample and brighter living room. As soon as you get inside of the apartment, a transition between units is impeccably done with rich amount details from flooring to the new materials and textures that were applied to a create a new perspective to the home.

The semi-detached house, in 2017, graffiti on its façade of the street and poorly maintained was the headquarters of an association that completely mischaracterized the building. The two floors were circulating workrooms, corridors, creating areas of use often without openings to the outside, true alcoves. We included in these mistaken uses the occupation of the back of the land, with the installation of floor and roof.

According to the book RINO LEVI Architecture and City, Romano Guerra publisher, p.254: "Fourth project of the series of introspective houses, this residence develops the architectural design approach adopted in the church and chapel of São José dos Campos: a unique space, built of two side stripes with open gardens and a covered and protected central strip. The central space is the living and dining room, which extends through the side gardens protected by pergolas. The delimitation of this unique space is provided by the structure of the house: in the back, the bedrooms; on the right side, the kitchen, pantry and breakfast room; on the left side, the vestibule with toilet, acess to the underground cellar and a small room; in the front, the services and the garage, with the peculiar situation of the housekeeper dormitories, a white volume, raised and blinded for the street."
