        <![CDATA[<p>On the north-western edge of the Greenwich Village Historic District, Jane Street is characterised by a mix of red brick townhouses and larger apartment blocks, mainly dating from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries respectively. This new apartment building is located on a site previously occupied by a 1920s, two-storey parking garage. The six-storey building comprises basement parking, duplex townhouses, lateral apartments, and a penthouse with its own roof garden. Mediating between the different sizes of the surrounding structures, the inserted volume both respects the scale of the street and reflects its architectural context.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>One of the most characteristic spaces of <a href="https://www.archdaily.com/tag/providence">Providence</a> is the RISD Beach with Pietro Belluschi’s perforated brick façade giving an abstract perforated front to the one public space that ties the Quad to the downtown sphere. It is this brick that has become the tectonic glue to the site, having the ability to ground the extension up the hill towards Prospect Street and the New Dormitory. The brick serves as retaining walls, pilasters, and the grounding façades of both the north and south faces of North Hall. The mission of the masterplan dictated the maximum amount of beds, which in turn created massing that was overscaled for the site.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>The 150,000 square foot Rutgers Business School is the gateway to Rutgers University’s Livingston Campus in Piscataway, New Jersey as envisioned by the campus master plan.  The L-shaped form of the building spans 60 feet above Rockafeller Road becoming the physical gate through which most campus traffic passes.  The building is part of a push, in keeping with the goals of the master plan towards a high density campus development complete with urban facilities, shared amenities, and a walkable campus.  Similarly this building reflects the ongoing shift in higher education away from a focus on classroom-oriented organization and towards a focus on collaboration spaces.  This shift is especially present in contemporary business where the cross collaboration of ideas, cultures, and concepts is necessary to create, evaluate, and market the next big idea. </p>]]>
