Peek House is an alteration and additions project to a Victorian cottage in Brunswick, Melbourne. The concept for Peek House was to expand on the charm and quaintness of the original cottage as a muse for a new contemporary home. Imbedded into the essence of the design was a want to celebrate old and new, rough and smooth, dark and light.

The average Australian house uses 19kwh of energy per day. Garden House produces 100kwh per day and has a 26kwh Tesla battery. A high-performing, hi tech, inner-city oasis, Garden House illustrates the future of sustainable energy - electrified homes, powered by the sun, powering our shared energy grid.

Clad Pad is a sun-filled, family-friendly renovation to an existing dwelling located in Caulfield North. The original double-fronted, single-storey, weatherboard house was built in the 1890s in the Victorian style. The 1970s were not a kind decade and the house was transformed from an elegant Victorian cottage into the ugly duckling of the street.

Grant House is the alteration and addition to a dark and narrow single-storey terrace in North Fitzroy. The old part of the house has been respectfully maintained and updated and a new extension has been sleeved between original boundary walls. The new extension comprises kitchen/living/dining (and secret cellar), with parent’s retreat upstairs. Utilising the side laneway, the main entry is now in the centre of the house. A large and imposing galvanised steel door opens onto a light-flooded courtyard that separates the old house from the new addition.

This project involves restoration and alteration to the existing Edwardian house, and the demolition and construction at the rear of a new addition. The transparency and openness of the new part is a deliberate counterpoint to the introverted Edwardian house with its dark central corridor. Our intention was to create an "inside is outside is inside" environment, where inside and outside spaces were interchangeable elements. The project evokes a certain reference to the Farnsworth House by Mies van der Rohe, and many courtyard houses in Melbourne by McGlashan and Everist.
