The property is located on the edge of a mature residential area in Portitz, in the north-west of Leipzig. In addition to the immediate proximity to nature, it is characterized by the neighborhood of a heterogeneous single-family house development and an already grown garden vegetation. Nature, the nearby forest, and the orchard played just as important a role as the translation of the surrounding buildings into a contemporary architectural language. The defining characteristics of the estate were translated into a gabled residential building. It is the archetypal image of a house that every child draws. However, this basic figure did not remain alone. In keeping with the motto "two are better than one", the overall appearance of the new building is made up of two offset, narrow house volumes.

A second construction phase completes the Carmen Würth Forum for the Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG situated in the town of Künzelsau in southern Germany. A flexible conference area and an art museum extend the existing concert hall and large event hall, opened in 2017. The diverse range of functions further establishes the complex’s conceptual idea of a forum and allows the building to be open continuously, in particular, due to its use as a museum.

The location and the characteristics of the site could not be more beautiful. The steep hillside plot with its old, protected pine trees arises from the waterside of the Groß Glienicke Lake and offers a divine view. Due to the topographical hillside of the property with the lake situated in the northwest, the architecture deduces its primary functional and design attributes from this special situation. The concept „less is more“ was taken literally in respect of the starting position.
