The design for “Gardens” has its background in contemporary research that indicates elderly people’s well-being in care centers is strongly correlated with attractive green outdoor environments and social interaction. Therefore, important parameters in our spatial design were to arrange comfortable homes for the elderly with easy access to their own gardens, outdoor spaces, and shared facilities.

Vårbergstoppen Playground Spheres / AndrénFogelström

A series of spheres for playing, climbing, and hiding in a public park in Stockholm. Vårbergstoppen is a constructed hill in the southern suburbs of Stockholm. The artificial landscape was created in the 1960s using masses from the construction of the new subway lines. City landscape architect Holger Blom leads the work of creating the two artificial peaks surrounding a perfectly round crater with a diameter of 100 meters.

Järvabadet Swimming Pool Pavilion / AIX Arkitekter

A new outdoor swimming pool with the goal of increasing swimming skills in the Järva area in Stockholm and creating an inclusive meeting place for everybody. The pools contain two practice pools, a swimming pool, and a children's pool and splash section. In addition, there are changing rooms, staff rooms, technology buildings, and a cafe. The pools are a commission by the city of Stockholm, situated next to Eggeby farm, which is also owned by the city of Stockholm. The area known as Järvafältet is a cultural reserve so a great emphasis has been placed on creating an architecture that in scale and form naturally fits into the environment.

Kronängsskolan Campus Vaxholm / LLP Arkitektkontor

LLP Arkitektkontor started working with the Campus at Vaxholm for the city of Vaxholm in August 2012. The brief consisted of an activity area and a new school for 500 pupils who are between year 7 and 9, an evening school for music and arts and a new auditorium. In total the building is 7200 square meters. Campus Vaxholm/Kronängsskolan was inaugurated in August 2017. It will be certified for SGBC Miljöbyggnad Guld.
