Sainte-Geneviève-des-bois is located in the department of Essonne, 34 km from Paris. The project to build the Olivier Léonhardt media library arose from the local government’s desire to ensure access to culture for the inhabitants of the department. To this end, it decided to launch a competition for ideas to replace a disused market in the heart of the «U de Saint Hubert», a residential area known for its difficult known for social, cultural, and economic difficulties of its residents.

Located on a plot of land in the heart of the block occupied by an 8 stories car park, the project comprises two operations of 75 housing units for sale and 74 social housing units. The project proposes to engage the project’s actors, as well as the inhabitants, in the steps of a rational, visionary, and sustainable approach to urban transformation. The social housing building is built in a wooden structure, while the building for homeownership is built by preserving and adapting the concrete structure of the existing car park. Through their respective specificities, the two projects meet the overall challenge set.

The school group is the very first element of a new district in the Coupvray development area. More than having to deal with the particular constraints of a site, the main challenge is to create a founding and structuring public facility for the future inhabitants of this extension of the town. The building expresses the town-country boundary through two distinct vocabularies, thus creating a transition between the public and the private. From the outside, the Hainaut blue stone gives it a mineral aspect that fades away in its heart to the benefit of the organic. The facades are softer, round, and trimmed with larch wood, facing the great landscape of the Marne valley.

Located on rue du Renard, the office building acquired by the COVEA Immobilier group was renovated by the Franklin Azzi Architecture and CALQ agencies to become Technicolor's new headquarters. The 8,500-square-meter building is ideally located between the Pompidou Center and the Hôtel de Ville and presents a real "heritage" interest.

Complete renovation, wooden structural extensions on brick ensemble, green roofs to harvest rainwater, windmills and solar chimneys to light and provide natural ventilation. Classrooms are upstairs; the architecture brings in natural light, allowing for use of underground levels (-5 m) of the old building. How? A long north-south grassy gardened trough at the base of the courtyard, bordered by a glass passageway connecting reception on the ground floor to the life of the school and the library below.
