Site Integration - The school complex appears in the landscape with a controlled formal and material duality: The classrooms appear in the form of monolithic pavilions that rhythmically shape the landscape with a sequential façade, both dynamic and systematic, offering a different appearance from every viewpoint, sometimes massive, sometimes transparent. The facades, made of in-situ tinted concrete that gives off a warm and welcoming appearance, are then sandblasted after pouring to expose aggregates, in certain places, thus controlling the final quality. The pavilion classrooms emerge from the ground like rocks–raw, noble and timeless. Shared spaces, including the after-school center, the restaurant, and the main hall of the school complex, are revealed under significant aluminum roofs that guide the visitor toward the entrances. Thus, the proposed architecture for the different volumes distinguishes between reserved spaces dedicated exclusively to learning and shared, multi-purpose spaces intended for all neighborhood residents. In this sense, it respects the urban hierarchy known and recognizable to all, in which public facilities punctuate the urban landscape within a uniform mass of buildings for private use.

According to its owners' wishes, the SOURCE pavilion is a unique and tailor-made pool house nestled in the heart of the 16th arrondissement of Paris, in the Villa Montmorency neighborhood. This remarkable pavilion discreetly emerges among the Haussmannian residential buildings in a sheltered green area spanning over a thousand square meters. Respecting the site’s balance with nature, the project is strategically positioned in the northwest corner of the plot to allow the living spaces and pergola to open towards the south. This arrangement maximizes the distance from neighboring properties and provides a calming refuge.

FLOS commissioned Arquitectura G and Sam Chermayeff Office to collaborate on a showroom for their products, spotlighting their fundamental presence, light itself. The new FLOS Amsterdam showroom is literally an arrangement of surfaces that receive, highlight, and begin a dialogue with light.

The rehabilitation of 50 avenue Montaigne is part of a global reflection on the sustainable city, including the transformation of the existing building and its adaptation to societal issues, whether functional or environmental. The construction of the city itself must be considered in a long-term vision of environmental improvement and user well-being. By revealing the essence of 50 Montaigne, by enhancing it, we give it the opportunity to be part of a contemporary dynamic, by adapting it to the uses of its time and those of tomorrow.

‘Interchange Pavilion’ by Studio Chris Fox is a meeting place where tracks converge, a place of interchange where paths cross. Peeling from the ground plane, geometries arc overhead to create an embracing volume; a point of confluence. Drawing inspiration from the precinct’s rail history, artist director of the of multi-disciplinary design studio Chris Fox, worked with the salient geometries of the railroad switch. This is the point at which a train can change its course, moving from one trajectory to another.
