Stek architecten designed this ecological home in the sustainable Giel Peetershof district in Egchel in the Netherlands. The house plan measures 8 by 14 meters on a corner plot of approximately 1050m2. By making as much use as possible of biobased materials and techniques, a sustainable and comfortable home has been realized. The compact layout in combination with a large free height contributes to the spatial experience of this house. This house has been realized within the ecological residential concept Hemma.

KeenSystems headquarters is situated along the ring road around the village of Gemert. The decision to not establish their new office building for the rapidly expanding telecom provider in the city of Eindhoven comes from the desire to operate from a very much green and inspiring environment. Their technology does not necessarily needs a physical relation with a city or a high-tech campus.

The house is situated on a corner lot in the typical 30’s district ‘de Elzent’ against the natural landscape of the river Dommel valley, in the center of Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The existing main house is relatively small in structure, however the lot size is sufficient enough to resist an carefully threaded extension. An extension where extra comfort is added to the existing house.
