P Home is a mixed-use architecture and interior design project in Bangkok that combines rental offices, a private office, and a residence on a compact 400 sqm plot. The client's brief was straightforward: ground-level parking with separate entrances for offices and the home; offices on the second floor and mezzanine; and residential spaces on the third floor and upper mezzanine. The residence includes a music rehearsal room and fitness area, without additional specialized functions.

"Baan Meesook" is designed based on simplicity, warmth, and living in harmony with nature in mind. The building emphasizes the connection with natural light, wind, and trees to create a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere for the residents. The house is arranged in an L-shape to create a private courtyard area surrounded by the building, allowing the residents to experience nature at every corner of the house. The front of the house facing west is designed to be solid to prevent heat and increase privacy. However, when entering the house, you will find an open space connected to the courtyard, creating an atmosphere that is clearly different from the outside.

Because the owner of this house wanted a residence that stands out and is unique, the designer architect began the project by considering the context of the location first. With the original environment consisting of a lake and trees, the architects designed the house to become a complete visual extension of its context. A white house on a black rock mountain amidst nature was the answer, relying on the context and the needs of the residents.

Building on the design for the Techcombank Headquarters in Hanoi, Foster + Partners has completed a new office tower for the company in Ho Chi Minh City. The 21-storey tower is organised around two approaches, programmatic – accommodating different tenants and uses – and environmental – a self-shading building that works with the tropical climate. The project aspires to LEED Platinum certification.

Foster + Partners has completed a new headquarters for Techcombank in Hanoi. Following a period of rapid growth, the company is consolidating its operations in a new tower that reflects its vision to ‘change banking, change lives.’ The 22-storey building is located in downtown Hanoi, just outside the historic quarter of the old city, alongside several public buildings such as the Supreme Court and National Library. The project aspires to LEED Platinum certification.

Located in a narrow street in central Bangkok, the site for the Jim Thompson Art Center was originally an outdoor car park that served the Jim Thompson House Museum. In addition to creating a new art center, design qua was tasked with incorporating an existing building into the new complex. The new L-shaped structure and the existing building together form an outdoor courtyard space that overlooks the Thai terracotta roofs of the nearby historic Jim Thompson House. The 3,800 square-meter building is designed with the vision of creating an art and culture center in central Bangkok that is open and inclusive. A place where Bangkok residents, students, and tourists can come together through architecture, contemporary art, learning, cultural events, and nature. Design qua set out to create a new kind of art and culture destination that functions like a community center.
