The new headquarters of Danish steel design and manufacturing company NT Industry is located in the buildings of a former heavy industry complex built back in 1951 and it was acquired by the current owner in 2003. Hidden in between other industrial buildings and greenery, its redesign complements the surroundings, thanks to its facade and form. The design was divided into two separate stages. The first stage involved the refurbishment of the gatehouse, while the second stage sought to renovate the disused office building and adaptive reuse of the warehouse, redesigned as a new canteen. A green patio was also created, occupying space in the middle of the complex.

The main wish of the investors was that, despite the declivity of the plot and fairly large size, all rooms in the house should be on the same level with a west view and without any steps. We designed a build located parallel to the road, covering almost the entire width of the plot. The western part of the plot is designated as a garden.

The incorporation of the human figure is one of the most effective tools used in architectural photography: it helps the viewer decipher the scale of work and assess its amplitude. While it successfully communicates a rough idea of the measurements of the elements in the picture, it also helps architecture become more relatable and accessible. People engage better with the built environment when it is populated, mainly because the human sense of society and community is the cornerstone of our civilization. With this in mind, we are showcasing a selection of our favorite photographs where the human figure takes center stage, enhancing our reading of architecture.

How to change weakness in to strenght? Aquatic Center - "Wodny Park Tychy" is a unique public solution created entirely for city's needs. This innovative concept is located in coal based region Silesia - one of the most polluted regions in Europe. The complex works in synergy with wastewater treatment plant serving as a bio-energy power plant. Together they create energy self-sufficient system, which also produces power for the Aquatic Center as well as for the city. The idea allows the object, which typically consumes massive amounts of energy, to serve not only as a place of entertainment, but also green energy supplier and educational center.

Although all windows have common functions such as allowing the passage of light, providing ventilation, and focusing the different views, these objectives can be enhanced through a series of useful options. Depending on the orientation of the building, climatic conditions, direction of the wind, and architectural point of view, each specific window model can make a difference within a project, improving usability and the spatial and environmental quality of each room.
