Balba is a 6-unit condo-hotel situated on a 4,500-square-foot (418 m²) lot on the outskirts of downtown Tulum. The architectural project focused on three main objectives: creating spaces that harmonize with the context, utilizing local materials and construction techniques, and maximizing the site's potential without compromising space. Large windows and balconies in each room and common area soften the indoor-outdoor transition, allowing users to experience the immediate surroundings more directly.
