The Universalists, 50 Years of Portuguese Architecture (Part 1)

The universal is the local without walls
Miguel Torga - Portuguese poet, playwright, and essayist (1907-1995)

A Point of View

This text was written for the French edition of the exhibition catalog The Universalists: 50 Years of Portuguese Architecture, an event organized by the Delegation of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Paris to mark its 50th anniversary, co-produced with the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine. The exhibition is now being presented, in 2018, in Portugal, at the Casa da Arquitectura in Matosinhos.
