Copenhagen is long famous as the global capital of human-scale design and livability. Today, the city has widened its focus and is an active space where mid-century Scandinavian modernism meets the modern demands of climate adaptability, material circularity, radical conservation, and neighborhood density. During the first-ever Copenhagen Architecture Biennial, in 2025, the city transformed into a global platform for dialogue under the theme "Slow Down," exploring how architecture can respond to global pressures by rethinking the pace of change. And this year's 13th edition of the 3daysofdesign Festival will explore the theme of "Make This Moment Matter", encouraging the global design community to step away from digital noise and mass production to focus on the present.

Incuba Next Innovation Hub / ADEPT + AART Architects

A new innovation hub for growth-oriented IT and tech companies offers a creative framework for ideas, synergies, and development. The 18-story building, INCUBA Next, designed by ADEPT and AART combines nearly 20,000 square meters of high-quality flexible office spaces with shared facilities and stunning views over the city. For over 30 years, the research park INCUBA in Aarhus DK has been a unique meeting point across it, clean tech, and life sciences. With close ties to the local university and the mission of fostering business opportunities for smaller companies, INCUBA bridges the gap between research, students, and industry. Recently completed, the 18 floors and nearly 20,000 m² in INCUBA NEextare dedicated to providing startups and scaleups in the tech industry with optimal growth conditions for SMEs.

Infill Svend Trosts Vej Building / ADEPT

Tucked between two classic residential buildings, a recently completed infill by ADEPT provides some much-needed breathing space in this small apartment complex. By adding just 15 m² for 6 of the 7 apartments, the infill solves the need for 'that extra room' for the families that share the property. At the same time, the private courtyard was transformed with permeable surfaces and a landscape design focused on urban biodiversity and play.

Danish energy giant Norlys recently inaugurated its first EV charging park, soon to be followed by double-digit locations across Denmark. The charging parks by ADEPT are designed for disassembly and share a green profile adaptable to future locations. With a design suited for a rapidly growing number of charging parks, ADEPT and Norlys combine the traditional roadside stop with a green and eventful destination. The first location in Odense, Denmark shows how the design translates the client values into architecture - to give more users better access to sustainable energy solutions, to keep it simple and to connect people across the country.

Nature Park Amager / ADEPT + LYTT

Just a short ride from Copenhagen City Hall Square, Amager Nature Park, a 35 km2 landscape park offers protected nature, open spaces, and an unhindered stretch of coastline. Completed over the past year, LYTT Architecture and ADEPT have rethought the park’s identity, including the completion of a series of visitor points that stage the overall experience of landscape, water, and biodiversity.
