Located in the Cerqueira César neighborhood of São Paulo, this 1,076-square-foot (100-square-meter) apartment underwent a complete renovation to suit the owners' new lifestyle. The project's initial concept was to redistribute the layout of the original two-bedroom apartment, creating a spacious living room integrated with the kitchen and a generous suite. Several other factors also influenced the layout decisions: the need for a pet washing area, a long kitchen island to entertain guests, and a European-style suite where the shower and toilet areas are separated.

Batataes Apartment / Ise Arquitetura

The apartment is located in a low-rise, two-block condominium, a type of building no longer constructed in the neighborhood. The entire ground floor of the building features pilotis, which gives the first-floor apartments the feel of a house. This was the starting point for the project's concept: to create the sensation of a house within an 86-square-meter apartment.

Aloha Office / Gioca Design

This is a corporate design project for an investment and holding firm located in São Paulo. The architecture firm Gioca Design, which had previously designed the family's country estate, was invited to design the office space. A key highlight was the active involvement of the client—a passionate surfer—in the conceptualization of the spaces and the selection of materials, facilitated by 3D presentations, site visits, and space planning layouts prior to construction.
