Located in Nova Lima, Minas Gerais, Residência TA was designed to integrate seamlessly with the rugged terrain it inhabits. With slopes of 30% horizontally and 20% transversally, the project maximizes land use by stepping towards the slope, minimizing space wastage and reducing the need for earth movement and retaining walls. This approach results in a discreet, horizontal volumetrics that naturally blends into the surroundings.

The owner of a soy farm in the State of Paraná, Brazil, decided to build a brand new house. The old one had been through two interventions already, and had the wooden structure compromised. The idea was that the new structure referred to the old one, which belonged to her parents. Looking for architects, the client, who also graduated in architecture, found and identified with the work of our office. Still in the middle of the pandemic, all communication was kept by phone or internet. With flights being resumed, a first meeting was scheduled on-site. The goal was to define the insertion of the new building in the garden, cultivated for more than 30 years by the owner, an enthusiast for landscape architecture. The project should emphasize the gardens and the landscape. A lake and a centenary fig contour the entrance.

The IC Residence is located in the city of Lagoa Santa, Minas Gerais. The land, measuring 5,000 m², is a relatively gentle slope, where the street-facing facade faces east. Solar orientation was a determining factor for the implantation of the house, located in a very hot region, where sun protection is essential.

The Bosque House is located in Nova Lima/MG, in a site that has a spectacular view of the mountains and vegetation characteristic of the Atlantic Forest. Its intensely sloping topography was decisive for creating the building’s implantation, defining the distribution of environments on three different levels so that the house would better accommodate the terrain.

Located in the southwest part of the state, this residence was conceived, not just architecturally but also in its interior design, to become an oasis in a continental region, with high temperatures and low humidity. Like an oasis, a refuge, it became essential the presence of many trees and gardens, surrounding the house located in a suburb with few trees and lots of modernist architecture.

Bento is a building composed by seven commercial rooms and it is in São Bento neighborhood in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. The proposal of the project aimed to offer an original architecture with no vices or repetitions normally seen on the real estate market. The architectural project tried to solve the proposed program by the following basic premises: create a simple structural solution that could contribute for the construction shape, keep some big free spans without structural interference, use materials on their raw conditions, like the concrete and the block bricks, without adding any finishings that demanded constant maintenance, and provide a working area more appealing where people could benefit from the outdoor spaces.

Very flowing landing. In the pool designed by landscaping master Burle Marx, the office developed and built a temporary bar from scratch for an architectural event from scratch. With a rereading of the modernist curves, the office created a metallic structure with a view of all elements. from the surroundings, the palace of the governors of Minas, the pool, and Serra do Curral, and the city, are all permeable, light, with a connection to nature and the landscaping that seems to embrace and invade the bar on all sides.
