It occupies the northern part of an inner suburb-type block, characterised by various architecture of different programmes, forms, massing, and construction dates. The project takes the place of the demolished former Keller-Dorian factory (built in three stages, in 1895, 1928 and 1960), which produced small metal items for engraving on metal, particularly for the rolls required in textile printing.</p>]]>

This building has all the architectural features of the typical late 19th century to mid-20th century French school.
