In response to mobility restrictions and lockdowns, businesses of all scales were forced to embrace digital transformation, saving time and, in some cases, reducing costs. Furthermore, as more consumers discover the convenience of home delivery, online shopping is likely to continue growing even in the post-pandemic era.

Located in the incomparable setting of the Ribeira Sacra, the core of Fondodevila is characterized by intertwining the suggestive public space with traditional houses, arranged in a scattered way in a vegetal environment that envelops it and gives it a unique character.

When approaching the strategic interior design for a brand like Grupo Ramón García, which is recognized internationally, the first thing a strategic interior designer must consider is the reason behind its success. Why does this large-scale woodwork company of Galician origin enjoy the prestige that leads it to work for private clients, retail stores in Miami, luxury yachts, and international rollouts for the Inditex group?
Once the reasons for this success are analyzed, the next step is “simply” to translate them into the architectural space.

The site conveys a sense of calm, where the silence is only broken by birdsong and the occasional tractor. Designing the rehabilitation of a place where the clients spent their childhood is a complex task—a mix of conflicting feelings, the desire to transform the old house into a space filled with light, and the hesitation of dismantling the walls where their family grew up.

Since the 12th century, the payment of rents to the Monastery of Oseira from the coastal territories under its domain was the economic engine of the region. The Cistercian monastery owned more than a thousand properties, extending all the way to the coast of Marín. In 1151, King Alfonso VII had donated these lands to the monks.

The reconstruction of a single-family home in Saa, in Carballeda de Avia, Ourense, met the owner's need to recover the building after a devastating fire completely ravaged the area. The intervention was approached with the utmost respect for the heritage and memory of the place, using contemporary construction systems. Following discussions with the owner and given budget limitations, a minimal program was chosen. The ground floor houses the day area, which consists of a single open-plan room combining the kitchen, living room, and dining room. An accessible bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet, and sink was also integrated. The storage room retained its previous function, while the laundry area was incorporated into the smallest room on the ground floor.

Pilgrimage is one of the oldest and most persistent cultural practices, a spatial expression of humanity's search for meaning that has taken form across geographies and religions. While traditionally tied to formal belief systems, its definition has expanded in recent decades, reflecting new understandings of what is sacred and where meaning can be found. This shift reveals something fundamental: the act of moving through space remains central to how people construct meaningful experience. Yet most built environments constructed today are designed to be approached at speed from roads, transit corridors, airports, and optimized urban cores. The Camino de Santiago stands as a sustained counterargument to this condition. It is a piece of distributed architecture, refined over centuries, that remains a sophisticated example of design organized around the moving human body.

In Spain, the implementation of integrated kitchens in homes has become increasingly common in contemporary architecture. Although there are various configurations and designs that are applied according to the customs and cultures of societies, as we saw in Argentina or Uruguay, the essence of conceiving the kitchen space as a hub of activities and a gathering space among its inhabitants and visitors is a common factor.
Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the west side and guarded by the mountain range Serra da Groba on the east side, the horizon esplanade was a “high-stoned” point in the middle of the coastal plain. The structure of the territory is visible in its section: the mountain comes down the human transformation throughout history: stone terraces. These terraces fold the topography showing the grey granite materiality.
